Texas artist Barbara Biel has become known for her depictions of the cross. In addition to painting them on canvas, she makes candleholders, paperweights and jewelry. She molds the crosses by hand out of clay and paints the tops gold or silver. After the success of the cross paperweights, she began making heart and fleur-de-lis shapes as well.
